Linganore Winecellars

Linganore is one of Maryland's largest and most public-facing winery destinations. Family-run for 50 years on a Mt. Airy estate where bar tastings are available all day without reservations, and guests can also book private seated tastings or vineyard-and-winery tours for a deeper visit. The wine range is unusually broad for discovery, spanning crisp Albariño and other dry whites, Cabernet Franc-led reds, sweet wines, fruit wines, and even Medieval Mead, so it works especially well for mixed groups. The vibe is energetic rather than hushed, with big lawns, patios, fire tables, food-truck-and-music weekends, a fenced dog park, and Red Shedman Brewery next door. Leashed dogs are welcome outside regular festival restrictions, and the property is set up for families as much as for serious tasters.
